I began my role with the Division of Gastroenterology in the summer of 2017. In my position I work only with Post Graduate Education matters, specifically coordinating Gastroenterology residency and fellowship training, along with coordinating the AFC Hepatology fellowship program.  Gastroenterology residency training is 2 years in duration and opens the door to various advanced fellowships for residents upon completion. Residents can pursue advanced training in IBD, ERCP/EUS, Luminal Endoscopy, Motility and Hepatology. In my role, I also assist in coordinating these advanced fellowships, which are often 1 year in length. In early 2018, the Area of Focused Competence Adult Hepatology Diploma fellowship program was established and as of June 30, 2019, our program had the first trainee in Canada to successfully meet the requirements.

I find this job incredibly rewarding. Each day comes with a new challenge which continually provides learning opportunities and self-development. I am incredibly fortunate to work with such a cohesive group.

 Quick Facts:

  • The Gastroenterology training program currently has 9 residents & 7 fellows completing advanced training
  • The AFC Adult Hepatology fellowship program currently has 3 fellows
  • In my program, we use Elentra for EPA assessments and One45 for scheduling
